You are buying a pre-viewed, COLISEUM VIDEO ORIGINAL VHS wrestling video, WWF (World Wrestling Federation) WrestleMania III.
March 29, 1987. The venue is the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. Mean Gene Okerlund kicks off, discussing what it takes to put together an event of this magnitude.
Gene passes to Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes, with the last minute hype.
It's showtime! Aretha Franklin kicks off the event, singing America the Beautiful!
Down at the broadcast booth, Jesse "The Body" Ventura & Gorilla Monsoon introduce Bob Uecker and Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart before heading down to ringside and Howard Finkel for our first event!

The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel and Tom Zenk) takes on the team of "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton and The Magnificent Muraco!

Ventura and Monsoon throw to Mean Gene, who narrates a video package detailing the history of this next match. Ever since Billy Jack Haynes entered the WWF, he has been taunted by Hercules and his manager, Bobby Heenan about how Hercules is the master of the full nelson. Things came to a head when Haynes came to ringside after a Hercules match, forcing Hercules to back up his boasts. Heenan's goading saw Haynes shove Heenan, giving Hercules the opening to clothesline Haynes locking in his full nelson, leading to the "The Battle of the Full Nelsons"!

In a different kind of matchup, Bob Uecker joins Jesse and Gorilla for mixed six-man tag featuring Hillbilly Jim and midgets The Haiti Kid and Little Beaver against King Kong Bundy and his midget tag team partners Little Tokyo and Lord Littlebrook!

For the next event, Mean Gene is backstage with King Harley Race, his Queen, Fabulous Moolah, and manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to interview the King and his Queen as they vow to make Junkyard Dog bow! Bob Uecker leaves the broadcast booth to chase after his crush, Queen Moolah!

The Dream Team (Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, w/manager Luscious Johnny V and Dino Bravo) are also in action, gunning for victory over The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond)!

In a retirement match, Rowdy Roddy Piper is retiring from professional wrestling, but before he leaves, he has one last piece of business to take care of. When Piper returned to the WWF after a leave of absence, he found that his "Piper's Pit" segment had been replaced by "The Flower Shop", hosted by "Adorable" Adrian Adonis. Adding insult to injury, Piper found himself attacked on his own set by former bodyguard "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton and Magnificent Muraco. Although Piper managed to get some measure of revenge, destroying "The Flower Shop" with a baseball bat, leading Adonis to challenge Piper to a hair vs. hair match

Before the match, a clip is shown of Piper at the WrestleMania III Press Conference.

1987 did not start off good for The British Bulldogs, as they lost the WWF Tag Team Championship to The Hart Foundation, partially due to the actions of referee Danny Davis. Former WWF Intercontinental Champion Tito Santana also has a bone to pick with Davis, believing him to be at responsible for his loss of the WWF Intercontinental Championship to "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Barred from refereeing for life, Davis now joins Jimmy Hart and teams with The Hart Foundation to take on The British Bulldogs & Santana!

Mary Hart and Bob Uecker are in the broadcast booth with Monsoon for this. Mary wants to remind everyone that despite the name, she is not related to Jimmy.

"The Natural" (with manager, "The Doctor of Style", Slick) makes his pay-per-view début against Koko B. Ware. Hilarious commentary by the great team of Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse "The Body" Ventura.

Randy Savage has always been known for his intense, physical style that gained him his name. A fierce competitor, he severely injured Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat after a bout filmed for WWF Superstars by draping his throat across the guardrail and then diving down with his signature double axhandle, following it up with a shot with the timekeeper's bell, sending Steamboat to the hospital with a crushed larynx, returning months later to save George "The Animal" Steele, who had developed a crush on Savage's manager, Miss Elizabeth. Now, in possibly the greatest WWF Intercontinental Championship match of all time, Steamboat, with The Animal in his corner once again challenges Savage!

Prior to the match, Mary Hart interviews the WWF Intercontinental Champion.

When The Honky Tonk Man was interviewed by Jake "The Snake" Roberts on Roberts' interview segment The Snake Pit, Roberts would tease Honky by thrusting his python, Damien, in Honky's face until Honky left the set without performing his song. However, while Roberts' back was turned, The Honky Tonk Man attacked Roberts with his guitar, smashing it over the head of "The Snake". A seething Roberts is set to even the score (and Honky's manager, "The Mouth of the Sout" Col. Jimmy Hart), at WrestleMania tonight and has in his corner Detroit native Alice Cooper!

Prior to this match, Mean Gene Okerlund interviews both men separately backstage.

In tag team action, The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (w/Slick) take on the team of The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair and "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell)!

When Hulk Hogan won the World Wrestling Federation Champion, André the Giant was one of the first ones to congratulate him. These two had been good friends and had even teamed together on occasion. They had been in each other's corner many times. When Hogan had been the Champion for three years, he was presented a trophy on Piper's Pit, and again, André was there to congratulate him. For fifteen years, André the Giant has been undefeated in the WWF. A similar trophy was presented to him on Piper's Pit, and Hogan returned the favour, talking about his pal, and ended up taking over the entire segment, causing André to walk off the set. Piper's Pit was again the scene, as Jesse Ventura promised to produce André next week if Piper could produce Hogan. Piper did indeed get Hogan on his set, as promised, and challenged Jesse to hold up his end of the bargain. Instead, Jesse introduced Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, who would
confront Hogan with his newest managerial charge -- André the Giant! Heenan would lambast Hogan for never once offering an undefeated André a title match, and demanding one at WrestleMania. A shocked Hogan begged his one-time friend to reconsider, but André confirmed his demand for a WWF Championship match against Hogan, ripping off his t-shirt and crucifix before walking off the set. Hogan has to put aside his personal feelings about his former friend and prepare to defend his WWF Championship against his biggest challenge ever!

Prior to the match, Mean Gene interviews André and Heenan. Before the event, outside the arena, Craig DeGeorge interviews the fans outside on their favourite matches of WrestleMania, and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
A clip from the WestleMania III press conference is shown, where Heenan tells Mean Gene that there is a brand new World Wrestling Federation championship belt being made for the Giant. Hogan confronts André at the press conference, but the Giant appears unconcerned.
Minutes before the match, Mean Gene gets some comments from the Champion!
Ringside, Howard Finkel introduces the guest ring announcer, "Mr. Baseball", Bob Uecker, who introduces the guest timekeeper, Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart. Look for Blackjack Lanza, who helps Mary inside the ring.
Beautiful video quality on this classic Coliseum VHS, and the original clamshell box is also in excellent condition.
